Rodda Yates - CEO
Yates is a 1989 graduate of Boerne High School. She then went on to Tarleton State University and received a bachelors degree in Accounting in 1993. Rodda began her career in insurance working for State Farm from 1993-1994 and Farmers from 1994-2004. In 2004, Rodda became an independent agent and opened her own agency. She now successfully operates insurance offices in Boerne and San Antonio, TX. Rodda also has a supportive family including her father and three children. Rodda is a devoted member of several organizations including the Texas Junior Livestock Association, BISD, and Independent Insurance Agents of Texas.
Sally Weaver - Commercial Account Manager
Mrs. Weaver is our new Business Commercial Account Manager with experience in the independent insurance agency system since 1985. Sally has extensive Commercial Lines Insurance knowledge due to the wide variety of clients she has worked with over the years. Her emphasis is on providing the highest standard of service as well as developing and maintaining insurance programs for customers which meet the needs of their changing business world. She also has a continued relationship with our many commercial carriers so that she can remain knowledgeable about the various products in the marketplace. Serena has been a licensed agent in both Property & Casualty and Life & Health since 2004. She also received her accounting degree from Hallmark College in 2012. Rand Racey - Commercial Service Manager
Rand Racey was raised in Notheast Oregon where he grew up on the family cattle ranch. He attended high school in Baker City and then went on to attend Boise State University until he accepted a management position with Albertson's where he was a Store Director for 17 years. He has 8 years of experience in financial services and insurance and is now working with commercial accounts at Yates and Associates and very excited to be back living in Texas.
Velvet Jackson - Personal Lines & Health Service Manager
Velvet, her husband David and their two childern moved to Boerne in 1979. She started her career in Boerne working in the Personal and Commercial Departments to the Boerne State Bank. She then moved into the health insurance industry. She worked at Humana from 1992 to 2001 and then transferred to UnitedHealthcare as a New Business Analysis. She retired from UHC in April 2014 and decided to start a new career in the property and casualty industry. Velvet Joined Yates & Associates February 2015 and is now our Personal Lines and Health Insurance Service Manager. She is an active member of Nineteen Ten Church.
Drew Holden - Asst Commercial Account Manager
Drew Holden was raised in the foothills of California. Shortly after graduating from Monrovia High School in 1985 he joined the Navy and began his journey to see the country and the world. After over ten years of service, 24 different countries, and thousands of memories he was honorably discharged in 1996. He continued his journey by living and traveling across the southeast portion of the country. Finally settling in the Hill Country in 2002, Drew and his wife Renee enjoy the slow lifestyle that this area is famous for. Drew also graduated from The University of Texas in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He enjoys spoiling his grandchildren, time with family and friend, and the hiking trails.
Sherri Heinrich - Administration
Sherri and her daughter moved from Lubbock to Boerne in 2001. She has had several years of experience in administrative support, as well as a Texas Real Estate License. Kyntra Yates - Commercial & Personal Lines CSR Assistant
Kyntra is from Boerne, TX and graduated from Texas Tech University May of 2014, earning a degree in Agriculture and Applied Economics with a minor in General Business. She is continuing her education by pursuing her Masters of Arts in Christian Education online through Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Kyntra began working with insurance since 2012 and recently became licensed. She will be assisting in establishing the Lubbock office--opening in 2015! She will be the commercial/personal account manager for accounts in the West Texas area as well as the administrative officer for the Lubbock office. Kyntra is an active member at First Baptist Church in Lubbock and is a part of the Texas Tech Alumni Association.
Veronica Torres - Personal Lines Account Manager
Veronica is our new Business Personal Lines Account Manager, after entering the insurance business in 1998, she has worked as an underwriter, property and auto claims adjuster, sales and marketing, policy service and member retention. Aside from her experience, she also holds a GLA in Texas, she keeps abreast of changes and stays active in the insurance industry by completing 30 hours of CE credits every 2 years. Tammy Voss - Commercial & Personal Admin Assistant
Born and raised on the South Plains of West Texas, Tammy has deep family roots in agriculture and livestock. She and her family live in Lubbock. Together she and Dusty Hart have a daughter studying to be a basketball coach and Junior High math teacher at Texas Tech University, a son studying pre-engineering classes at South Plains Junior College in Levelland, and a 12 year old daughter actively showing club lambs in the Junior FFA program at Frenship ISD. Dusty Thrash - Field Agent
Dusty started in the insurance business in 1990 after serving as field representative for 9 years. In 1996 started his own agency writing MPCI Government reinsured policies to the local farmers in Texas and New Mexico. He joined Yates in January 2015 to grow the business in the Lubbock/Midland/Odessa/Amarillo and New Mexico area. He is a West Texas Native and has been married to wife Brenda for 25 years. He has 2 sons and 3 exceptional grandkids.
Rodney & Sherri Yates
Rodney and Sherri Yates have been involved with Yates & Associates since 1997. Mr. Yates opened the first grocery store in Boerne, TX called Poor Boy Incorporated. In 1966 Mr. Yates spent his time with livestock and other agriculture projects then begin his career in insurance in 1976. Sherri Yates graduated from Shriner University in Shriner, TX with a Bacherlors in Accounting. Mrs. Yates spent her professional career working at Kerville Accounting Firm, Davis Stewart. Todd Jordan - Field Agent
Mr. Jordan comes to Yates & Associates from a diverse background. Todd has been a Firefighter for the Lubbock Fire Department for 21 years, sold Real Estate for 13 years, and been a licensed Insurance Adjuster since 2002. He is the Commercial Accounts Manager for outside sales. Texas metroplex and panhandle are his areas of concentration along with New Mexico. Todd handles all commercial lines with a special interest in the Farm Supply/Feed Store program initiated by Yates & Associates.
Ricky Murphy - Field Agent
Ricky Murphy graduated Lamesa High School in 1986. He attended South Plains College 1986-1988 and then finished his degree in Crops/Entomology at Texas Tech University in 1991. Ricky has an extensive background in the Ag. industry and as a fire fighter for the last 15 years. His uniquely blended background and drive for superb customer service will be a true assest to our customers.
